Now that the Presidential Election is over, the markets can breath a little easier. Before the election, there was much uncertainty. Uncertainty always has a way of suppressing the markets.
Additionally, there was the chance of a terrorist attack to disrupt elections. Thankfully, that never materialized.
Now the financial markets can focus on other events, such as a likely quarter point rise of the Fed Funds rate on Wednesday, November 10th. Also, with the job market picking up and high oil prices, inflation will be another market driving theme.
